Performs laboratory testing on patients of all ages using professional knowledge of laboratory procedures in an accurate and timely manner. Performs clinical lab procedures following established guidelines. Performs general and departmental responsibilities. Participates in technical continuing education and development. Exhibits organizational skills. Follows OSHA Guidelines.
Qualifications
Certified as a Medical Technologist by an approved accrediting agency and licensed by the state of Georgia. BS degree in Medical Technology or equivalent education. Two (2) years of experience preferred. Must be certified as a Medical Technologist by an approved accrediting agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or HEW) and licensed by the state of Georgia. Must be competent in Lab and Micro. Procedures and Lab Automation in areas covered, Blood Bank interpretation skills, and Lab Computerization skills.
